Excellent primer on an important topic that, many times, is completely ignored… that is: what happened in 70 AD and what does it have to do with the Bible? This book gives you enough biblical understanding with texts, to do a deep-dive bible study to see if the two ( 70 AD and the Bible) connect. The author systematically helps the reader/listener “ connect the dots “ with internal and external evidence! The narrator in the audible version has the perfect voice especially for the topic. Well done

Refreshing perspective on Eschatology (doctrine of the last things)

The past century has been rife with end-times madness and doctrines that none of the early church would have embraced. This book is a sound contextual hermeneutic, giving you understanding of what the The Olivette discourse would’ve meant to those who actually heard it in the first century. It showcases how that what Jesus predicted actually already happened. It gives much historical evidence as to what the early church fathers thought about these passages as well. Bravo!

Great listen for a different perspective

This book reminds me of college, but in a good way. One of the colleges I went to was a religious college, and a required class was biblical literature. An entire class of breaking down each story and interpreting it for a modern time. We used to cross the "hermeneutical bridge" to better connect with the texts. This book was a great reminder of that class and how things aren't always the popular or "common knowledge" way of thinking. Ask 100 people to intemperate a passage, and you'll get 100 different responses. It's refreshing to hear a different point of view. Not only the POV but the reasons for that viewpoint. A great listen for anyone willing to and looking to have a better and thoughtful understanding of religion like they should.
