In 1948, Najin and Calvin Cho, with their young daughter Miran, travel from South Korea to the United States in search of new opportunities. Beautiful and thoughtful presentation of important history and human dilemmas. The reading seemed a bit stilted at first but I grew accustomed to it over time and felt it also might represent a culture aspect of the story.
