Acerca de esta escucha

For intelligence operative Sean Dillon, it is a routine passport check. But the events it will lead to will be as bloody as any he has ever known. The man he stops at Heathrow airport is Caspar Rashid, born and bred in England, but with family ties to a Bedouin tribe fiercely wedded to the old ways, as he's just found out to his pain.

Rashid's 13-year-old daughter, Sara, has been kidnapped by his own father and taken to Iraq to be married to a man known as the Hammer of God, one of the Middle East's most feared terrorists. Dillon has had his own run-ins with that tribe, and when the distraught man begs Dillon for help, he sees a chance to settle some old scores - but he has no idea of the terrible chain of events he is about to unleash, nor of the implacable enemies he is about to gain. Before his journey is done, many men will die - and Dillon may be one of them.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"It's all pure Higgins: almost every shot hits square between the eyes, and all the characters are hard lads indeed." ( Publishers Weekly)
"Lane's chilling portrayal and powerful characterizations make this thriller especially believable." ( AudioFile)

Great story but the narrator was not easy to listen too. Narrator could not hold my attention very long.

Did not care for the narrator

This story was a weak continuation of the previous book with plot lines lifted from previous books. Dillon was barely in it and when he is, he was the voice of reason to Bills wild side.
The narrator did not help the story by being monotone and accents barely distinguishing between characters. And by golly narrators out there. If you come in and take over for someone else, at least continue to pronounce names the same way (NovikOva or NovIkova, EEgor or IIgor?).

Not his best work

I do hope that Brilliance has not hired this reader for any other books I hope to listen to.
Sounds more like a bad pantomime than a serious read.

Great Higgins! Poor reader!

This was the worst Dillon I have ever read. The narration was poor. I was very disappointed with it.

very poor reading.

I started reading Higgins in the 80's; I still go back every few years where it's like meeting old friends. Lane can't read as well as the old recordings with Patrick MacNee (aka John Steed in the Avengers) but he's okay.

Usual Higgins book
