Acerca de esta escucha

Beneath the sunny skies of the Florida Panhandle, dark currents flow--hidden and secretive. Meeting in utmost seclusion, a private club of rich and powerful men meet to discuss their favorite pastime, hunting—people. Under cover of night, they capture their hapless, unsuspecting victims and carry them to the Kill Club's hunting preserve. After a time, they release the prey then hunt them down and kill them. And the latest hunt is about to start. But one of their victims this time is not so helpless. And therein lies the tale.

Navy SEAL Human hunting Action

The Kill Club does a good job of conveying the Navy SEAL lifestyle mentality in the form of a light-action slasher thriller. It's an extra dose of military, whatever that means to you. I'm not really the target audience for this. It was pretty fast-paced and had a satisfying action movie third act. It just seemed kind of poor quality overall and I didn't think the characters were very interesting. I feel bad for saying that. It killed some time. This is like a made-for-DVD, low-budget thriller from the 2000s. It could have also been a script for The Sniper Part 4. If you're in the right mood, it can be cheesy action entertainment.

Good Listen

I was given this title for free.

This is a good listen, and the narration is fine as well.

Fun concept ...

Very dull.
The concept, while very unoriginal, was fun and this book should’ve been exciting, however, it was a snooze-fest and highly predictable.

🎧 Audio:
Overall sound quality was great, however the narrator was poor—no performance whatsoever, just robotic dictation.

What a great narrator

I thought Kerby McGraw did and excellent job narrating The Kill Club. It's a great story and he really brought the characters to life.

nope

I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator.
I listened to the whole book although I couldn’t get into it. Even if your writing about zombies or aliens invading Earth you need to make the story as believable as possible. A Navy Seal walking down the road with his “girlfriend”, a vehicle pulls up and the driver, a man, offers them a ride. The Seal has a bad feeling about the whole situation, but gets in the vehicle “just to see what happens”. A group of people running through the woods yet animals walk past them; a group of 4 people moving through the woods talking, yet a skunk walks by one of the guys. Anyone who has ever been in the woods knows that animals would bolt and hide, not casually walk by a person. Also don’t use the same “scene” repeatedly. Right now I’m still towards the beginning of the story and this has already happened 3 times.
The narrator was just reading the book, he made no attempt at performing the story. The guy has a pleasant voice and I could definitely listen to his voice narrating, but I get bored easily when the narrator just reads the book. McGraw made no attempt to change his voice for various characters so you have to really pay attention to know who is speaking rather than just fading into the story. He may have been trying for different inflections, but he didn’t hit the mark. You have a terrified woman running and trying to hide from a group of killers, she is freaking out, but “her scenes” sound just like every other part of the book. Also I am really big on pronunciation, its commandeer not commander a vehicle. The kickback from a rifle is not enough to dislocate a shoulder no matter how old you are, shotgun yes, rifle no. A mulberry tree covered in ice in the middle of winter is not going to have berries on it. Yea, there’s way too many inconsistencies to keep listing them.
