What a beautiful teaching!

I never thought about Chair Yoga - yet a lot of us are working on chairs in these modern days and suffering pain from not moving enough. This is such a valuable teaching and a great idea! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to modify their relationship with their time spent on “sitting”. Also, I loved the narration and that it is the author who’s doing it - you can feel the passion for the subject going through the voice, it is very nice.

Easy to follow

I have been telling my mom about chair yoga for quite some time as she is a fall risk and lives alone. Over the last few years she has continued to decrease her activity and does not go out as often anymore because of her her and physical limitations. I told her she needed to try chair yoga to start to help herself with her flexibility and to work on her balance. She said she is finally ready after she fell and could not get up for several hours until someone heard her yelling.

Okay so now, with this book, we both listened to it and did several of the exercises together. I wanted to be there to support her so she didn’t feel alone. She did amazing. The instructions were clear and the author explains the importance of staying mobile and flexible to keep our health in good condition. I feel very confident that my mom can continue working through this book. It’s a perfect speed for her and it’s meant for beginners so it’s going to be a great starting point for her.

Chair yoga can be for everyone

Though many people think your yoga is just for seniors, I found out that there are also poses for the younger generation. Included with the audio is a small booklet showing many of the poses the author talks about. She also explains how to stay safe, the routines, and a type of diet that will keep your work, workouts, strong, and healthy. Towards the end, it had some stories of others who shared their experiences and their great outcomes. if you would like to stretch and strengthen your muscles safely this book is for you.

This books is amazing not just for senior doing chair yoga but for anyone that is interested in learning chair yoga super insightful and very easy to follow. Definitely a must read.
