Happy to be back with my babies!
The Jade Setter of Janloon is truly a treasure & a treat while serving just a glimpse of life into this world before the Green Bone Saga takes off in Jade City.
I don't know how else to explain that reading this after the trilogy made my heart soar while also shattering it simultaneously. I am in tears!
I just really love this series and will happily accept any crumbs Fonda wants to give that take place in Janloon.

Perfect Novella
Man, while a prequel, it’s so nice to just dip my toes back in after all this time inside of this world. I’m sad I’m now out of Green Bone Saga.

Great story
Really good prequel for an excellent series. I mostly enjoyed visiting this brutal world again. The story was compelling and it was fun seeing some familiar faces along the way. The narration was very well done.

Fonda Lee is a master writer

A nice listen of a well-rounded short story
I loved the seamless connections this “stand alone” book has with the other ones in the series. It gives those who have never read it a peek into that world and still keeps those who have read the entire series interested.
Highly recommend for those who need a “fix” after closing the book on the Jade City Series. If you haven’t checked out Jade City, it only gets better from here.
Consistent top tier narration by Andrew Koshino (sp?) in all of these makes it even better.

A blessing to be back in janloon
I loved this story so much . Being back in janloon and hearing Andrew kishinos voice was such an immense comfort to me. I started tearing up seeing hilo and and the maiks and lan again. It remains bittersweet. I wish this series would never end !
