I should have read these so long ago. I’m floored at how amazing this book is. When coming into YA I expect a certain amount of hand holding and corniness, but this book pulls no punches. It’s got amazing sci-fi elements and isn’t afraid to explore the very real consequences of war and death. 100% recommend for all ages.

Fantastic nostalgic trip!
I read the animorphs series as a preteen/teenager and largely credit it for my love of reading. This version was wonderfully crafted and Andrews does a phenomenal job bringing life to the characters. His voices are great and it really enriches the text.
If you were a fan of the series in the 90’s or if you never gave it a chance (or never had the opportunity) I suggest giving this audiobook a listen. It is well worth the 3 hours.

A wish fulfilled
This series was the most influential series I read growing up.
it is great to finally have a professionally done audiobook to experience.
I lost a lot of my vision in my adult life, so bring able to read my favorite series with real human voices instead of text-to-speech is great.
The narrator does a good job of creating voices that match characters. The emotion is brought into scenes appropriately. I am excited for more.

This story was amazing!
I especially loved the battle at the end of the book, but I hate that Tom couldn’t be saved from the Yeerks. I think I would recommend this to my dad, since he likes sci-fi.
In all, I think it’s a great book.

Easy to Follow
I listened to this because it was assigned for a book club. Even though I prefer Audible for the cost (free) since my spouse gets credits every month, I sometimes have a hard time following the story because I'm not an audible learner. However, MacLeod Andrews did a great job at narrating, and Katherine Applegate's story and plot also made it easier to understand and a joy to listen to. Applegate is highly imaginative and great at putting herself in the "shoes" of non-humans. I wouldn't mind listening to another book in the series.
