As the competing agendas unravel, events place Derek and Sarah on a collision course, setting the stage for a confrontation that will bring Autumn’s Tithe right to Derek’s doorstep.

awesome story and execution. part of me rooting for derick. however part of me identifies with the rebels/patriots, especially in this day and age.

Can’t wait for the 3rd book

I liked this book…not quite as much as the first, but I liked it. I love the main character, and I hope we can look forward to him going back to being a “lone wolf” badass in the 3rd book.

These are great listens, Jay Snyder is so good. Flew through this, can’t wait for the 3rd.

Definitely Will Read The Third Book

Enjoyed the story, the characters, and the action in it. There were a couple of unexpected events that made the story better. There were places where the narrative was overly descriptive which slowed the pace. I thought the frequent news updates on the Kentucky raid became monotonous. Three news reports over the time period would have sufficed. That part felt like filler. I also would have liked some explanation on how Derek didn't end up being the fall guy other than Jason and his boss were going to do what they could.

Overall, a solid 4.5 stars. Rounded up because the narration was great, and I think Derek has a lot of potential as a character. Looking forward to book 3.

Great oration! Complex situations, much like real life. Very much needed, the oration and content and memory of emotion are very much what I need to process. A story well written between reality and not. Thank you

to love the second and pine for the third! jay synder rocks….just a really good read….No it is not Tolstoy or Twain, but if you enjoy the genre - you will love this book!

Such a great series!

This is a new author to me, but I’ve read both books and they are excellent. I can’t wait for the next book of the series.

A new series with potential

There’s lots to celebrate with this Harrington series. He’s a compelling character, for sure. He’s got a unique set of skills.

My only rub is there’s a lack of context in the fighting scenes. Cops arriving on scene amongst heavy gunfire, they see their friends taking rounds to the head, they exit their vehicles, yet the first time the villain throws rounds their way they get hit…in vital areas. I’d like to think they’d at least have some level of cover in that context.

Or a hand to hand situation, you got a guy with reach advantage who’s winning in stand up with muy thai strikes against a grappler, the grappler wouldn’t finally get inside that reach, get hands on, then throw the dude to the ground. That just means he’s got to stand up and take punishment again and find a way back inside. Once the grappler gets a hold of a limb, a sleeve, he ain’t ever letting go unless forced to somehow.

I know I’m splitting hairs here. It’s a solid book, and I’ll keep reading whatever comes next. But these little nuances are huge in the believability of the it all.
