Wonderful read

I loved everything about this book from Tracy's wonderful narration to Louise's wonderful writing. Tracy's accents were awesome and so amazing. I love the tango between Daniel and Annabelle. The innocence mixed with the naughtiness was the perfect blend. I can't think of one thing I didn't like while I was listening to this story and I hope to hear more in the series.

Enjoyment in punishment...

Annabelle, forced to attend a house party of a Duke by her parents, finds herself in a carnal courtship with the Duke after she hops a train before her escort can join her. Annabelle is strong, but also loves to be dominated. She asks for punishment when she breaks the rules set down for her and while painful, she loves them. The Duke is both kind and demanding to Annabelle. He wants her love and he wants to be loved despite of this title, not because of it.

This was a book that I listened to start to finish. It was steamy hot, but it also had a great story. I felt the characters had a true connection with each other and their families. Annabelle and the Duke both love their families and don't want to disappoint them. Together they can do that.

If you want a spanking/BDSM novel, I highly suggest you pick this one up. It really is an amazing book!

Very interesting

This was my firat go into an audiobook inthis genres. It is what I thought it would be and more. Very Very racy, it took me awhile to finish this book due to the nature of the book. The audio book u generally listen to I listen while i cook, clean etc so my girls hear them as well. This book on the other hand... lol yeah, not kid appropriate. I really enjoyed the book and marvel at the narrator who just continues without worry through the more racy parts. The author and narrator were great together. The characters were well developed and brought to life by the narrator.

Pleasantly surprised, really enjoyed this audiobook.
Tracy's performance was once again outstanding, so very talented.
Enjoyable story made only more entertaining by great narrative.

Wow...not what I expected!

This book really surprised me...it was completely different than what I expected, but I really enjoyed it. I was also surprised by Tracy Marks' narration. I have listened to many books narrated by Tracy, she is one of my absolute favorite narrators; however, this is the first time I've listened to a book that she narrated using an accent from beginning to end and I was pleasantly surprised. She did an amazing job! I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Naughtier than I expected!

Delightful story, perfect narration are the best way to sum up this book. Louise Taylor is a new author to me, while Tracy Marks is a favorite narrator of mine. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her English accent in this book and enjoyed her various characters. This book is totally original with plenty of steam and some humor. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was provided with this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A truly different love story

i loved this book. So different from so many I've listened to lately. it was very entertaining and wildly amusing. LOVED Annabelle and Daniel. Going back to the 1800's was very informative and so interesting. And the steamy parts..OH My! Did they do those things in the 1800's? Makes me swoon! However, I purchased this book originally because it was narrated by Tracy Marks, my FAVORITE narrator. I would probably listen to her read the dictionary! she is an amazing narrator and makes me fall in love with each book she reads! Thank you Louise Taylor and Tracy Marks! Can't wait till the next book!

The Naughty Annabelle Spencer

This book was a bit of a surprise for me. It had been a few days since I read the snippet so there I was happily listening to a historical fiction story when the spanking began... Then I remembered that this was a Tracy Marks book and not her other name that she uses for books that are less explicit. I certainly wasn’t disappointed, just a little surprised for a moment.

Annabelle Spencer is a young woman who has grown up the youngest child with several older brothers. She likes to climb trees and rough house with her brothers. She also enjoys sneaking in to their rooms and borrowing their naughty books. Annabelle’s mother wishes for her daughter to marry but she isn’t the typical young woman of her social standing. After receiving an invite from an old friend, Annabelle’s mother makes arrangements for her to attend a house party where she will meet a young Duke who happens to be looking for a wife (if his mother has anything to say about it).

Other than the secret time Annabelle spends with the Duke, I also really enjoyed how important the extended family was in the story. The Duke was an important, powerful, and naughty man but he adores his family and I found that made him even more desirable.

Now for the narration... Tracy Marks is one of my absolute favorite narrators. I have listened to many books performed by her and have admired her ability to differentiate characters, genders and accents. That being said, it was a little odd to listen to a book where she uses an English accent for the entire book. The first couple hours of the book, I kept thinking “Hmm, Tracy doing an English accent...” instead of just listening and enjoying the book. But eventually I stopped analyzing her performance and just engrossed myself in the story. I definitely enjoyed the overall performance (though if I’m being honest, it wasn’t my favorite of her accents).

I recommend this book for anyone who might enjoy a little BDSM mixed in with their historical fiction. The characters are well developed, likable and I found it to be a unique story. I look forward to seeing where the author takes us next.
