There were other worlds around us before we touched down on Earth again. A blue planet where a massive azure ball glowed, sending out white streamers into a midnight sky, puzzled us. The azure ball seemed to be alive.... We saw a planet where only metal robots moved about. The world on which they lived was barren; perhaps the robots had made it that way.... As a scientist, I grieved for the lack of opportunity to enter and explore these visions of infinity. They went on and on, swinging into view and then out of view glimpses of reality until now shrouded from the eyes of men. On one world we appeared above a man who battled a scaled monster with a sword. A woman lay crumpled at his feet....
