Always a Fun Read

Cyrus Jones and Sedona Snow are two of my favorite characters in the Harmony and Rain Shadow tales. Barbara Rosenblatt does a wonderful job of bringing them to life. Ms. Rosenblat remains one of my favorite narrators. She's able to make the men sound macho and the women sound sexy. It's always disappointing when the narrator has to struggle to make the men sound masculine and the women sound feminine without sounding like they're still in high school. Thank you Barbara.

Love this book and all of Jayne Castle’s work

Jayne Castle seemingly effortlessly balances strong female characters with crazy sexy alpha male characters. Throw in a dust bunny and I’m hooked. Thanks Jayne. Please write more.

If you love Jane castle books you'll love her other books like bye Amanda quick Jane and crayons these are all her books and they are wonderful stories individually and together as a group I highly recommend you read her stories thank you very much Kristie manning

Good book, but...

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hot Zone to be better than the print version?

Like previous reviews this is Jayne Castle as her best, but the narrators 10 pack a day smokers voice just about ruins it. Most of the time the narrators voice sounds so masculine that you really have to listen carefully as to what parts are being read, if it's the female role or the male role. As for the story its self Jayne Castle once again hits it out of the ball park with another great Rainshadow tale. You get to visit all the previous characters along with learning the story of Sedona Snow and Cyrus Jones. Overall this is a great book and I highly suggest skipping the audio book and go straight to reading this one.

This is my favorite series written by Jayne Ann Krentz. I’ve read each of them several times. Hopefully Jayne will write more in this series. Absolutely recommend this book

Coming back for Harmony adventures is a delight. New readers are in for a treat.

wonderful narration

suspeneseful, romantic, great narration. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sci fi.

My Favorite of the Harmony series

What did you love best about The Hot Zone?

It's hard to pick out just one thing. The characters really come to life, and are especially unique. The setting includes finding the Preserve's monsters,getting caught in terrifying psi storms and exploring some amazingly beautiful new tunnels.

What other book might you compare The Hot Zone to and why?

All of the Rainshadow books are good and worth the read, this one just kicks it up a notch.

What does Barbara Rosenblat bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I tend to skim books when I read visually. I probably would have missed some of the enchanting details. Ms Rosenblat's has a wide variety of voices and does tone and inflections masterfully.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in all one sitting. I bought a sansa clip, just for that purpose.
