A legend was born, one that would sadly die before her time but would be immortalized (in a manner of speaking) by a legacy of women to follow in her footsteps, the testimonies of celebrities who knew and worked with her, and even a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But who actually was Alivia Chambers? Mysteries surrounding her upbringing in Colorado, her coming to Hollywood initially, her personal relationships, the fatal accident that claimed her life (but left no body), her uncanny skill in archery as demonstrated in the years following her work in Hollywood, her blacklisting during the McCarthy Era, and even questions concerning her sexual orientation.
All these and others are explored and chronicled here by Ariel Archer in the untold story of The Horsewoman of Hollywood's Backlot: The Life & Times of Alivia Chambers.
