Cozy Christmas Story
I love Leah Bonnema on the Were You Raised By Wolves podcast, and it was so fun to hear her reading this story. There is so much of her in the main character, Mae. My favorite character in the story, though, is the dog, Scarpetta. She is hilariously expressive without ever saying a word.
I listened to this whole story in a day. It was such a lovely way to escape from reality for a bit. It is not a genre I would have selected on my own were it not for my appreciation of the author, but it was definitely the perfect story for the season.

Not just a holiday listen!
the Holiday Break Down is a heartwarming, entertaining story! Leah Bonnema’s characters shine and you can’t help but get pulled in.
I rarely leave reviews, but this book really spoke to me.
I Highly recommend this book not just for the holiday season, but all year around!

I loved the heartwarming, whimsical story and the infusion of Christmas cheer throughout! The author’s narration was the cherry on top, hearing exactly how it was meant to be read! Uplifting story full of hope and love!

Friendship goals!
Leah has a lovely voice. I am a fan of RBW and could really hear her natural tone reading her book. The story, even if somewhat predictable (sorry!) was very clever in terms of the guy following the girl, but maybe not really, but oh yeah there it is. So entertaining. I loved the support of true friends across the miles the most. Their encouragement warmed my heart and made me want to reach out to my friends! I would love to read another book by Leah.

So sweet & charming!
This sweet holiday story about Mae and her friends (old & new) was just what I needed during a really stressful holiday season this year. It’s lighthearted and delightfully read by the author, and I only wished it would keep going when it ended. Maybe a sequel in the future?
