Incredible Narration!!

Great Story

My favorite author has written an amazing stand alone novel with a charming story. Filled with heartache and love. I highly recommend!

Wonderful and unexpected:

When I first began reading the book I wasn't sure, both because it is different than other books that Amy Clipston has written and also because it was a little slow at the beginning. Once I got into it I really enjoyed it. I loved the description of the scenery, the little community and the resort. I was reminded of how we tend to hold on to what is familiar instead of grasping the best we could ever have and hope for. It was an excelent book and I look forward to reading more like this by Amy. Also, the performance was excelent. Hearing a book readfor me, is like a sighted person watching a movie and because of such a great performance this book came alive in my mind and I could picture the lake, the town and even imagine sitting eating a cone from the ice cream shop. I recommend this book for everyone, young and old.

Just okay

My first impression of the heroine was that she acted so much younger than her age and was extremely naive. I then remembered that of course she did because she had lived a very sheltered life and her only relationship was with a guy who took her for granted and was very self centered. I think the story was a bit simplistic and slow and the narrator was just okay. When I am always aware of the narrator, that’s not a good sign. I listened to the whole thing and it was okay so it deserved three stars.
