A fascinating introduction to Ayahuasca

I had never heard of this plant or people who drink it.
What caught my eye was the title, The Healing power . . ."

I found the book to be a fascinating introduction to something completely new. Something which sounds almost to good to be true but the author does a very good job of pointing out the risks and counter indications of this powerful plant (I previously worked for a company which produced natural supplements and I was often surprised at how casual people were about the fact that these plants ARE drugs in their natural form) and how to find the safest environment to experience Ayahuasca.

I find myself still somewhat skeptical about the effects of Ayahuasca. I do not believe in past lives or reincarnation although I do strongly believe in an existence before we were born and a continuation of existence after death. I do believe in the life we are too hard on ourselves and others and being forgiving where appropriate can be one of the best medicines. This book has certainly peaked my interest on the subject and I will be doing more research and investigation . . . living in the USA, I cannot try it without significant travel. If it could help me find relief from my physical pains it would certainly be worth the time and expense.

I've experienced Ayahuasca several times and can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. There is hope to heal with these gifts from Mother Nature and this audiobook shows you that.

Inspiring!

I've been hearing about Ayahuasca for a while now. I find it extremely interesting and a little scary too. This book is 16 real life stories about people's experiences with the drug (or medicine as it's called in the book).even without ever taking it, there is some beautiful messages in here. a lot of it hit home and some of it was messages that we all need to hear. there is information provided here for those who want to try the medicine. i think if the opportunity ever presented itself, i would try it but (for now) i won't actively seek it out.
The recording of this book was clean, clear and good quality. it's read by Mark Gleason. He did a good job.

Excellent read

Realistic and to the point

It was really nice to hear about other people experiences. It was not sugar coated and not long drama. It gives an realistic expectations of the after ceremony impacts on people lives and how it all depend on our actions. It respectfully removes the mysticism and showed how it change people. I recommend the book. It was a man easy “read” on audible.

Anyone who is seeking to know more about the healing effects of this plant medicine and are needing to hear first hand stories, this is the book for you. Marc has done a wonderful job in keeping this book simple but yet very informative.
