Its main recommendation is that Germans sacrifice their own lives at a star-studded guillotine event every weekend. If Germany can reduce its population, and other countries do likewise, it is believed that not only will planet Earth be less polluted and more pristine, but that humans themselves will not go the way of the dinosaur. Lars Krüger is divorced. His teenage daughter Jenny visits him now and then. And unbeknownst to Lars Krüger, his daughter has already signed up for The Lebensraum Challenge, which is now mere days away. Can Lars save her? Or failing that, can Jenny save herself...before it is too late?
