Acerca de esta escucha
"The Great Chapter One’s in the Old Testament and the Questions they Answer," is a thought-provoking journey and comprehensive study of God’s Word based on Chapter One of nine books in the Old Testament. Matthew Henry Commentary is used to study Scripture and answer questions. Faith and obedience are the essential requirements to please God. We have two choices of material consequence: FOLLOW the course of the world or FOLLOW the Word of God. God is Holy and cannot tolerate Sin. Hypocrisy in religion is of all things most abominable to God in heaven.
There are 170 questions to answer from the Chapters below. A sample of 16 can be found by copying the link below and pasting into your browser.

The great Chapter One’s are as follows:
- Genesis 1- Creation by divine fiat- “out of nothing.” God created the world by his Word alone. First glimpse of God's triune nature.
- Deuteronomy 1- The book of reproofs. The fault of the 40-yr delay rested only with the people themselves.
- Job 1- Job had everything stripped away in a single day. He was forced to grapple with suffering. God is sovereign, infinitely wise, loving and compassionate. We must trust Him in every situation.
- Psalms 1- A comparison of the godly and ungodly man. “For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.”
- Proverbs 1- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. It is a doorway and a pathway. It is a new beginning and it never ends.
- Isaiah 1- God announces His charge against his children. It is hypocrisy, not worship, that God opposes.
- Jeremiah 1- Jeremiah was to proclaim God’s Word to all nations. God put all the worlds in Jeremiah’s mouth that he would ever need. God knew that Jeremiah’s words would pierce our hearts today.
- Daniel 1- “And the Lord gave Jehoiakim, King of Judah into his hand.” God accomplishes His purposes and achieves His victory by sending Daniel.
- Jonah 1 - God calls Jonah to go to Nineveh, a Gentile city and to warn them. Jonah tries to run away from God. Jonah’s burial was figuratively like that of Christ’s.
