Kat Martin is one of my favorite authors

I loved the story, especially now knowing that some of it is based on real occurrences.

Not my cup of tea.

I just couldn’t get into it, but then I’m not a good person fan so that’s probably more of the problem. Plus, I like a good ghost story, and I didn’t think this was a good story.

Ghostly Good

Creepy and good! I enjoyed this book. I love that the author is from my town.

Author needs a thesaurus

His pants tightened. His body tightened. He felt his groin tighten.

The book was meh. I don't have any issues with the narrator, the words were clear and enough emotion in them to get the feelings across. I wasn't really thrilled with the writing. It doesn't start off too religious but by the last couple of hours I felt like the author was beating me over the head with her religious beliefs.

The love story was the rich billionaire trope. I think the story would have been better without any kind of love interest.

So bad….

The whole story is rushed and quite ridiculous. Two “love” stories that were unnecessary and forced. Add a little human trafficking to spice things up and you get this hot mess of a novel. Don’t waste your time with this one.
