Acerca de esta escucha

The Gear-Smiths Trilogy

In an alternative Victorian era where aetheric science and steam-powered marvels shape society, the brilliant but eccentric Professor Erasmus Finch and his unlikely allies find themselves at the heart of a conflict that will determine the future of technology and spirituality alike.

THE BANISHMENT OF THE GEARSMITHS

When Professor Finch's groundbreaking experiments with aetheric energy draw unwanted attention from the mysterious Coterie of the Cog, he is forced to flee London with his street-smart assistant Ada Lovelace and the charming diplomat Tristan Byrne. Together, they become known as the Gearsmiths, pioneers in the revolutionary field of aetheric science. But their innovations have made them targets of those who would use such power for nefarious purposes.

THE GHOSTS OF THE FRENCH QUARTER

Seeking refuge in New Orleans, the Gearsmiths discover a city where science and spirituality dance a delicate waltz. Their etheric technology takes on new dimensions as they encounter voodoo practitioners who have been working with similar forces—which they know as Sophagial frequencies—for generations. When their experiments accidentally unleash supernatural havoc upon the Big Easy, they must forge alliances with local mystics to prevent an inter-dimensional catastrophe. The line between science and spirit grows ever thinner as they race to save the city from both ghostly threats and their pursuers from London.

CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR 1893

The story culminates at the World's Colombian Exposition, where the Gearsmiths plan to unveil their innovations to the world. But Lord Bellingham and his Coterie have laid a trap, planning to use the fair's centerpiece—the magnificent Ferris Wheel—as a device to seize control of all aetheric technology. With allies including Buffalo Bill Cody, Wyatt Earp, Susan B. Anthony, and Mark Twain, the Gearsmiths must prevent Bellingham from turning the "White City" into ground zero for a technological apocalypse.
