Breaking many barriers, their first show in Houston sold out weeks before the performance date, requiring that additional shows be added. Since then, the Gay Comedy Jam has appeared at over 200 mainstream venues, large and small. Featured in this performance are Kevin and Scott Kennedy with special guest Bob Smith, the first openly gay comedian to appear on the Tonight Show. They have set an unprecedented standard for humor that will be appreciated by gay and non-gay comedy lovers alike.

The Gay Comedy Jam features three gay comedians who’ve starred on HBO specials, the Tonight Show, and toured in over 100 cities.
Bob Smith draws from his experience growing up in his conservative Buffalo, New York family and coming out at Thanksgiving: "Mom, will you please pass the gravy to a homosexual?" Kevin Maye makes fun of gay men camping and "gay white trash" on a recent visit to Mississippi: "they’ve got Cuisinarts on cinder blocks." Scott Kennedy jokes about the Village People and straight people.This showcase of gay comedians is greeted warmly by a crowd that revels in jokes that find the lighter side of being gay.
