A Brilliant and engaging story
If you've listened to Legend you know what Druss did to become legendary. This story, The First Chronicles, tells you how he did it. The characters are dynamic and entertaining while also being thoughtful. Having the poet be a kind of comic relief to Drusse’s gruff personality was my favorite part. It's a great book!

A legend come to life
one of my favorite storoes of all time brought to life in such a grand fashion. i could close my eyes and envision the fantasy as it was read aloud.

Gemmell is the 80’s-90’s fantasy goat.
His stories are incredible & every time I start one I finish it within a day or two. I just wish he was still around
