I'll never forget the first time someone called me "trash". I was 13, and it was my own father. I guess I should've expected it, since mom said I was a mistake for as long as I remember. I've been underestimated by everyone, from my ex-husband to my college instructor, who never thought I'd pass his EMT courses.
When I first applied for the Fire Academy, I was laughed out the door, probably because my resume listed my employer as "Cherry Girls Gentlemen's Club". I figure, people will doubt you. Let them. Just don't doubt yourself. I got into the academy and passed with flying colors, and I just got my uniform as one of Boston's finest. I'm only a provisional firefighter, but when I make it through the trial period, I'll have my dream. The only thing standing in my way is the scorching attraction I feel towards my lieutenant - who is hands off because of the job.
Life isn't fair. Will the first good relationship I've ever experienced mean the end to my dream?

Good Firehouse series!!!
The Fire Inside, a 3-book series Audiobook by Lexi Timms is the story of Wes and Ash. He is the Lieutenant at the fire department. She’s a new graduate from the Fire Academy. She’s got a lot of strikes against her…but, she is determined to prove herself! Wes is surprised by his newest applicant to the station and is determined to help her. But, there are so many secrets….and her past is about to catch up to her. The best thing about having the entire series is that….while there are cliffhangers…the next book is right there!! The last book seemed to drag a little…the rest were great!
This Audiobook was narrated by Andrea Webster who does a good job with the stories!!

great narrative
great box set that follows Single mom Ash and Wes who is the fire station lieutenant. being together is against the rules. but can they survive hiding their relationship and her ex? Will there be a HEA?
