When life’s challenges arise, we often ask, “Why?” Why me, why them, why this suffering? When we believe in an all-good, all-knowing God, these questions become even more challenging to answer. Trials come with our choices, like building relationships or raising a family. We have expectations, but life can take us on a path we never anticipated. Our family faced this when our daughter’s journey was far different from what we imagined.
More profound questions about God have emerged as we’ve struggled with anger and sadness. Is He all-powerful? Is He good? Does He see us? We’ve wrestled with our faith in our darkest moments, questioning God’s presence and goodness. Yet, even in the silence, God has shown up—through others, mysterious ways, and unexpected provisions. These trials have revealed His presence more clearly. We realize that we are part of a larger story, one we didn’t choose, but in which we have the responsibility and privilege to respond with faith, finding hope and provision in the most unexpected places.
