Besides the Bible, best book I have ever read in my life!

I have been in an emotionally destructive marriage for over 40 years. This book helped me recognize the signs, gave me skills and tools to draw boundaries, encouraged me in the Lord, strengthened me in more ways than I can count and offered me tons of resources. I recommend this book to be a 1st resource for all pastors when counseling someone with destructive patterns in their marriage or life. Words cannot express my gratitude to Leslie Vernick for her God given wisdom and for being faithful in writing this book for people like me. I will be giving a copy of this book to my pastor!

It helps to identify toxic relationships

great information! There was so much I learned from it. sometimes you cant express with words the problem you are going through when dealing with an abusive person but this book helped me with that

It’s information every woman knows at her core, but Leslie does an excellent job at defining it and organizing it. Must read! And may I request this information be written for young women during the high-school/early college years?

You have stood beside me saying, yes what you are feeling is valid and wrong. And helping me to realizing it is a character problem and a non willing to talk, just blame which is causing marital problem. I wish i had found the truth 40 years ago. My life would have been so different.
