good second book
Wow the narrator really outdid himself. You really have to appreciate his skill. To be able to go from slinging slang as yassie to completely deadpan with no accent as Chang.. I still find it hard to believe sometimes that these voices are all from one person. Great second book in the series! The author does such a great job building these different worlds. Eagerly waiting for the next book in this series!

This has been an excellent series. The story line and world building is great, and the performance by Colin Morgan was the best, BY FAR, that I have heard to date.

Best book of 2020!
The first book was great, but this book is exponentially that much greater. By far the best development of any of the 100 audible books I’ve listened to in 2020. Funny AF too! The character Sun might be my new favorite person. I truly hope there will be a 3rd! Highly recommend getting if you are on the fence about it. You can thank me later. Cheers.

Love the humor!
R R Haywood is so funny and a fantastic storyteller. The verbal slapstick is a hoot and the characters are very well developed! He makes you feel their delight, angst, fear, and everything in between. This is my third series listening to Haywood’s stories on audible and I can’t get enough....looking forward to the next episode of any of his worlds!

I like where this is going..
but this round could have used a little less of what felt like filler and a little more of the protagonists' detective work and social media antics. BUT, aside from me being an armchair book editor- I enjoy the characters and how they've slowly gone from 2D comic relief along the overall drama to additional depth and character development along the way. Far be it for me to critique story elements (I flushed as my 15 year old caught a moment and laughed at Lik Lik Suk, and this could be a (Sk)Cinemax miniseries) when there is a good plot and I like the unique take on generation ships.
