Sad it’s over
I have become so attached to the characters in this series that I actually feel a bit of grief with this last book being finished. The story was tense, very exciting, and the narration of the book was exceptional. All of the Nick Drake books have made me want to learn more about the history and people of this part of Oregon. My boyfriend, who is also listening to the series, and I are planning a pilgrimage of sorts. (That’s not as unhinged as it sounds, we are only a couple of hours away.) I am so grateful to Dwight Holing and Charles Leggett for a memorable ride. I hope there are more Nick Drake books in the works.

Never a dull moment , enjoyed every minute,
Once more an enjoyable read, The characters are so rich and colorful. This story was a definite 5stars. Enjoy all his books.

The Demon Skin
Sometimes I listen to my audible books at bedtime. But the fast pace and excitement of this story hindered my sleep. But I listened during the day and finished in a day. Good story. I especially like the time frame of the books having grown up in the 60’s. The connection to the Vietnam war resurrected some sad feelings. It’s hard for younger people to understand what went on back then. The reminiscing by the two main characters brings to light how harrowing an experience they had. Hope there is more sequels to come.
