Trials of Azrael !!

All in all this is a fantastic collection. the first short story drew me in to the Dark Angels as a faction but by far to me the standout is the Trials of Azrael. It encompasses everything i love about a 40k story without overstaying its welcome or dragging on. 10/10 will be recommending to my friends.

Malediction and vindication

The final short story, Malediction, might just be the prefect grim dark loyalist tale. Performances were adequate across all, nothing spectacular but one stood out as exceptionally bad in the Malediction telling.

The constant plot twists.

I like how all the stories had a great twist at the end and never got dull. Most definitely had good action as well.

Very interesting for Dark Angels fans.

Despite the first two stories being a little underwhelming, The others more than make up for it in VA talent, and story writing.

Good lore

Good Dark angels Lore! But some segments it sounds like someone is getting a filling, a faint whir of a dental drill in the background of the dictation.

Each story left me wanting more! The overall production of this collection is great, much more than I had expected.

Definitely a great job showing off the skills and traits of the dark angels… they loyalty is top tier and the stories reflect that

Shallow, but well performed.

I had a really hard time with the writing of some of these stories. The way it’s written in some areas felt very forced— “I know you’re secret, daemon, because I am very smart! Smarter than you!” “No, how can it be?!”. It felt like the characters could do no wrong and it wasn’t as enjoyable for that reason.

Overall, it was a reasonable ride, the voice actors did wonderfully as I would expect. The sound effects used feel more distracting than immersive. I think the stories just suffer from being too short which prevents them from feeling complete, but that’s probably more of a personal dislike than an actual critique of the writing.

Worth a listen for Dark Angels fans, but probably not more than once.
