Tense and Riveting!

I love the entire series of Madison Harper, and I think this one is my favorite. In the beginning, I was immediately frustrated by Nate as he took off for a while due to still dealing with the trauma of having shot someone in the recent past. But the reader quickly is immersed in a very gruesome murder that Madison now must try to solve without Nate’s help. In the meantime, there’s another story of a teenage girl held in captivity, and we watch as that whole saga unfolds. As if that is not enough, now there’s another heartbroken mom contacting Madison for help with her baby that was apparently kidnapped months ago, but the mother was too afraid at the time to report it to the police. I simply could not stop listening to this book as there was so much going on with both the characters and the crimes the team is having to try to solve. I literally was brought to tears by one sad event. Highly recommend this book but suggest reading or listening to this entire series so you can enjoy how the characters change and evolve.

Hard to follow

Hard to follow with all the jumping back and forth. Also, I kept waiting for the narrator to clear her throat and dislodge the frog she seemed to have in it. Very distracting.

If you felt deterred from reading this book due to Gigi not reading it then you’re making a huge mistake, because I think out of the whole series this was the best book!!! SO SO GOOD
