A Winner for Wehr

So I really liked this series. I enjoyed how Dietmar used some existing theories of space travel and current technology to base the tech in. I actually looked up the base tech online and there it was. So cool and great job there.
The first book was really good in that the action seemed to come quickly based on the circumstance that happened between the private space entities and national governments.
The second part was good as well though it had some longer periods of stuff getting done and plans being set, etc. That is not to say that it did not pick up because it did after what was found on Mars.
I have to say I think the friendliness that came between the national powers seemed a little rushed toward the end but I am ok with that. Due to this I would have given the full story a 4.5 but since you cannot, I had to round up. :)
What I am curious about is if there will be more. There are things left unsaid, left undone, and creepy crawlies that could come in from the dark. I hope so!
The narrator I had not heard of before but he was really good. Bravo.
So for folks wondering, this book contains no fantastical, futuristic tech. So in current theory and even theory from I think the 50s. Space X is prominent player in the book as well.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Well written and performed.

Well written story, that keeps you engrossed through all 3 books. I was sad for the ending, but it was completely in context of the character.

Complete Miss - Save Your Credit (SYC)

The book deals with ONE man's ego and all things that surround that. From the start, the book was heavy on ego. While it had good elements of story telling, most of the story was a complete miss. Character development was ok, childish at time with hero worship and unnecessary almost cringe adoration for the primary character of the story. One got the feeling the author really put a lot of how he sees himself into this one character. What ruined the books for me was that each time they found something that could propel the story into something very interesting, like finding an alien ship, they blow by it like it was just a pile of waste along the road. That happened a lot in this book. So in the end, it wasn't about telling a compelling story, it was a lone author's fantasy for himself to be the hero and that was it. A short dream one has just before waking that the author stretched into three books. Save your credit, this series isn't worth a credit or a $1.00. The narrator did a decent job. Not to cringe in the voices, but a some hiccups along the way.
