William Gurnall (1616 - 79) was born in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cambridge University. From 1644 until his death, he served as rector of St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Lavenham, Suffolk.

I wanted to listen to this book after hearing Pastor Jack Hibbs recommended it. Thank you Pastor Hibbs. I’ve been believing I was walking in step with Jesus, not so! I’ve picked up so much teaching and discipline that will strengthen my walk with my Savior.

Up to date and relevant
We tend to think ourselves very sophisticated and wise. A quick listen to this 350+ year old work will quickly inform you that not only has man not changed over time but these sins, problems, foibles and the solutions have been known since antiquity. If anything, he's more wise and sophisticated than our modern age.

Outstanding, convicting, and encouraging!!
