It was a feat to finish this book.

Heard about this on a New York Times article where the author spoke about Garner’s poignant descriptions and scenes. Maybe it would’ve been better read in paper. Not sure if the accent, the cadence or the repetition of the “he said/she said,” but it was a pain to listen to this book. I kept getting lost and rewinding to the beginning of the chapter. I’d guess it’s a short read on paper as well, which maybe I’ll give a try to later on.

Lack of action

Slow story where little happens. It just failed to capture my interest at any point.
