Not worth it

Not worth the credit nor discounted price. This is someone’s sophomore year English essay. There is absolutely nothing in this book that adds to existing credible work available. Instead of facts and figures, the author references vagaries. There are also factual inaccuracies, such as the claim that firefighters died on scene at the accident. Two people died that day, pump operator Valery Khodemchuk, who died immediately following the explosion, and Kostyantyn Perchuk, who was badly burned and irradiated and succumbed to his injuries later that morning in hospital. All the other deaths officially attributed to the accident occurred weeks later, as firefighters, nuclear engineers, and one security officer, in hospital and in spite of all the treatment available from radiation specialists in Moscow and from a US hematologist who assisted with bone marrow transplants for affected patients also succumbed to their radiation exposure.

Very very disappointing purchase.
