Potential was there...

Story starts up intriguing. Skips over describing any details really to fully grasp an image of any character. I liked the idea of the main character being tough and with her own power that matched her new “people to be”. But from there, very little makes sense. Things happen with no explanation. She lustily falls for this warlord - after he drops her at her request -hardly speaking 5 words to him, claiming that it’s the deepest of love. Ships crash or riots begin but with no detail as to how it falls into place. Falls into the hands of TWO different leaders that want to impregnate her. And with the latter she makes some very HORRIBLE decisions that left me wanting to give up and leave her with her awful consequences and just terrible, dumb ideas. Kept hoping that it would turn around... but sad to say this story shrivels and dies and cuts so many corners.

What a ride!!

This book is a true sci-fi lovers dream come true.
There's action, adventure, lies, deceit, and love that is so strong that it turns in to obsession.
This book is only the first start in this wild ride.

Romance and Adventure that you will Love!

Great characters to love and cheer for in this story. I thought this story was so full of action and feeling that I was on a rollercoaster, but loved every single moment of it. Romance & determination to make a difference and have a life together make this a great story. So good!!!

Not my cup of tea

I had no problem following the story just the logic and the emotional connections didn’t make a lot of sense to me. Not a bad listen I just can’t wrap my head around some of the scenarios and reactions.

Not my cup of tea at all!

The book is written in first person (a lot of thoughts and not so much dialogue) and the story is really depressing. A lot of suffering and no joy. What I really do not understand is that the heroine first rejects the "hero", they hardly speak to each other, then suddenly he is the love of her life that she is willing to die for - really? The heroine also spends more time talking and interacting with her enemies than her love interest.
If you are into people suffering (everyone in this story are) go ahead, the narration is excellent. But if you like a bit of joy and happiness in your stories, do not bother.

Good sci-fi romance!

I’ve liked science fiction romance stories for many years. This story was about a human woman who is given as tribute (along with others) to an alien commander whose planet saved Earth from another more vicious alien species. Though she was resentful, she came to love the commander. They barely have time to be happy when they are double crossed and attacked, eventually ending up crashed on a planet and taken as slaves by a brutal overlord. She and the hero both have the ability to ‘ghost’ out of their bodies and they have to work to try to escape. There’s a lot of action, intrigue and sexy scenes. Overall it was a good listening experience. Narration was well performed.

This is a good book can’t wait till second book comes out. Kind of mad that the rest the authors books are in German and can’t understand them lol

Sci-fi Romance

First book for me by this author, love this series. You will hate it that your on the edge of your set and hate that you will need to wait for the next books.

Disappointed

Too much talking in the head very much less interaction with other characters. Very disappointing.
