Brighty, a shaggy young burro, lives wild and free in the Grand Canyon of Arizona. He roams the steep cliffs with the squirrels and rabbits. First time reading this book
I can honestly say I cried. Several times. The cruelty, the passion, and the sheer animosity of this book were overwhelming, but it was a journey. It’s such an amazing story about how life will beat you down and make you strong, and the light of hope at the end has brought me to tears once again. It’s everything I could want in a book and then some.

GREAT!!
This title is so well known, a household name even, and I think I probably have read it before many years ago, but am not even sure(!) because none of it sounds familiar! I’ve had it in my Kindle Unlimited Library for awhile and, for some reason, have been hesitant to listen to it. Because I guess I didn’t realize what an enormously terrific book it truly is. Wow! Great narrator too, by the way. I simply enjoyed everything about this relatively short but very powerful and captivating story.

Wow, never saw it coming!!
If you are dog lover, beware...this book will make you want to jump back in time and take care of some problems Buck had to face.
This would be awesome book for a day of travels. You can share it with your kids! NO BAD LANGUAGE...NONE...NO SEXUAL CONTENT!
Truly enjoyable adventure with Buck and his roommates!

I am 73, and have not read this in more than sixty years. it is still the classic story. The story from a dog's version......feelings, caring, protection, and desires, makes one adhere to the dog and his adventures. Loved it, again!
