Great short romance

loved this. perfect length to enjoy without getting too slow. the narrator was fantastic. highly recommend!

A quick listen

I am usually looking for really long Audio books but I didn't have far to drive today so this was perfect. a cute story plenty of spice. I really like the narrator!!! it ended on a cute happy note! over all I'm glad I listened. it was almost like a pallet cleanse from the series I usually choose!

Quick and Fun Listen

This is a quick and fun listen. This is the first single narrated book I've listened to in a while and Claire Marlowe did a great job. When on a business trip April stops at the hotel bar for a drink and finds so much more. Nick is intriguing and fun. I liked that these two had instant chemistry but took a beat to figure out if they were both on the same page. Can a fling become more? I am interested to see what this author comes up with next!

Cute, Steamy, and Honest

Calling all the corporate ladies in your 30’s, this one is for you! The Business Woman and the Bartender by Brianna Bencroft is a fun, flirty, and very believable romance following a lonely woman in her mid-30’s who meets a hot bartender while away on business. As a woman in her mid-30’s, who traveled frequently to business conferences in a previous career, a lot of details about this story feel very real and like interactions anyone who has been in this situation can recognize.

The interactions between April and Nick are endearingly awkward and honest, and their characters are well crafted so you feel their loneliness, despite being constantly surrounded by people. I found April’s perpetual horny-ness to be pretty funny, but it does not come off as disingenuous or forced, just her lot in life when presented with the deliciously competent and rugged yet refined, Nick.

Claire Marlowe did a fantastic job bringing April and Nick to life. Her vocal timbre is perfect to personify both characters, and her range added significant depth to their conversations and interactions.

I enjoyed this audiobook more than anticipated; it’s a cute story with well developed characters, that is well written and narrated. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quick and steamy, but real and honest escape!

Such a fun little bite of spicy romance!

Nick and April meet by chance when she is on a business trip and sits at his bar. Though she is only in town for a few days, they have instant chemistry and a desire to get to know one another. Will a long-distance relationship be in the cards for them?

Brianna's novellas are such a fun little bite of romance, with a dash of delicious spice. I like that the attraction is instantaneous and they waste little time getting to the fun parts of romance stories - the swooning and the spicy bits. That said, there are always snippets of emotional moments and tension as well.

Claire is a new narrator to me, but I think she does a fantastic job solo narrating this novella. She does very well with both April and Nick's characters, and her masculine voice is great. The narration moves the story along beautifully and kept me engaged as the listener.

great tease for what's to come for this couple

April and Nick have instant chemistry that ignites into a fling while she's in town on business. But as real feelings start fo develop, can these two take the risk to see what the future could hold? I liked that it was a quick listen, but now I'm definitely ready to know what's next for them! Narrators brought these characters to life.
