Acerca de esta escucha
In The Burnout Fix, award-winning psychologist and board-certified leadership coach Dr. Jacinta M. Jimenez shows you how to harness science-backed resilience strategies to survive, and thrive, in today's "always on, always connected" world - where a reported 60 percent of employees report being stressed out all or most of the time at work.
Packed with compelling, real-world stories from years of coaching and the latest research in positive, social, and motivational psychology, The Burnout Fix shows how neglecting to nurture your personal pulse can undermine all your efforts at working harder and "smarter". You'll learn how to integrate healthy personal "PULSE" practices into all aspects of your life, from pacing for performance and leveraging leisure time to securing a support system and evaluating how to regain control of your time and priorities.
Whether you are an individual who wishes to build out a set of lasting resilience capabilities or a leader dedicated to keeping your team or organization engaged and flourishing, The Burnout Fix will reshape the way you think about success while giving you - and your people - the tools and strategies you need to thrive.

Burnout. Many women in America have experienced it. What’s expected of women and what it’s really like to be a woman in today’s world are two very different things - and women exhaust themselves trying to close the gap between them. Sisters Emily Nagoski, PhD, and Amelia Nagoski, DMA, are here to help end the cycle of feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Instead of asking us to ignore the very real obstacles and societal pressures that stand between women and well-being, they explain with compassion and optimism what we’re up against - and teach us how to fight back.

In this powerful book, happiness expert Jennifer Moss explains why burnout is so rampant - and provides simple, researched-based solutions for helping employees minimize stress and building happier workplaces. We tend to think of burnout as a problem that we can solve with self-care: more yoga, better breathing techniques, and more resilience. But evidence is mounting that applying band-aid solutions to an epic workplace phenomenon isn't enough.

It's official. For the first time, the World Health Organization has classified burnout as a health problem. Renowned motivational speaker Eileen McDargh proposes that to tackle it, we must learn to break out of energy-draining thoughts and behaviors. Resilience, she argues, is strictly a matter of energy management - by better managing your energy, you can both build resiliency and overcome burnout. McDargh guides the listener through the process of identifying energy drains and implementing strategies for handling them, whatever phase of life you are in.

Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn.

In How to Get Sh*t Done she shows how even the most perfectionistic among us can tap in to our inner free spirit and learn to feel like badasses rather than drudges.

Yet most attempts to help focus on quick-fix strategies aimed at individuals. Something is missing. In Beating Burnout at Work, Paula Davis, founder of the Stress & Resilience Institute, provides a new framework to help organizations prevent employee burnout.

In today’s work environment, the lines between our professional and personal lives are blurred more than ever before. Whatever is happening to us outside of our workplace - whether stressful, painful, or joyful - follows us into work as well. We may think we have to keep these realities under wraps and act as if we “have it all together”. But as Mike Robbins explains, we can work better, lead better, and be more engaged and fulfilled if - instead of trying to hide who we are- we show up fully and authentically.

How would you like to be calmer, less distracted, more productive, and more content at your job? You might think it would take more hours in the day, a better boss, more support, less interference, a shorter commute - and the list goes on. Most of the things we think would help are either not in our control or simply not realistic. But there is one thing we can do to achieve the qualities we seek, and it can be done invisibly and often: meditation.

The Master Coach is based on the simple but profound 3Cs Coaching Model. This proven approach asserts that to master the art of coaching one must have an exemplary character that invites the trust of others, be able to form rapid connections with others at a deeply personal level, and have the ability to initiate and guide intense, attitude-changing conversations. At every step, Thompson reminds listeners that coaching is not merely about what the coach says or does; it's about who he or she is.

Instead of asking us to ignore the very real obstacles and societal pressures that stand between women and well-being, they explain with compassion and optimism what we’re up against - and teach us how to fight back.

a few nice tips, lots of uninteresting details
There are a number of valid points in this book but way to much personal details, stories etc that have no value for the average reader at the verge of burnout. A short pdf workbook would double the practical use of the audiobook.

One of the most practical books on how to apply latest knowledge
I recommend this book to everyone, not only executives and managers. This book has a wealth of research and practical paradigm shifting beliefs and practices. Most people are experiencing burnout. They aren’t tuning into their bodies or listening to their emotions. We are embodied minds and taking care of ourselves will enable us to cope with the uncertainties of our modern political times.

You might get burned out by listening to this book.
If you are looking for this book to help you, there are other books that are much more ground breaking. This book just reiterated all the fluff that other “self help” books have to offer. I was burned out on this book halfway through and had to force myself to finish it in hopes of picking up something useful. Pro-tip: if you don’t want to fall asleep, listed at 2.5x speed.
