Acerca de esta escucha

In the sweltering heat of a Southern plantation, Ku’hani, a proud African woman, toiled under the merciless gaze of the overseer. Despite her enslavement, Ku’hani's spirit remained unbroken, filled with dreams of freedom and memories of her homeland's vibrant life. She was different from the other slaves, remembering the taste of freedom and the songs of her people. As she endured the brutality of plantation life, Ku’hani vowed to protect her unborn child from inheriting the shackles of slavery.

In the present day, Ku’hani's legacy of resilience and rage echoes through the lives of Taniesha, Candace, and Saundra. Taniesha, seeking escape from New York's streets, finds herself ensnared by Ku’hani's curse. Candace, uncovering a dark secret about herself, discovers a connection to Ku’hani's vengeful spirit. Meanwhile, Saundra, a devout Muslim questioning her faith, struggles with the consequences of Ku’hani’s curse on her own life.

As these women confront their intertwined past, they are bound together by the enduring effects of Ku’hani’s rage. Their stories intertwine, weaving a tapestry of resilience and redemption. Together, they seek liberation from the shadows of the past, striving to break free from Ku’hani's curse and find redemption in a world haunted by the echoes of slavery.

I Could Not Stop Listening

I follow Angry Biracial on YouTube. I'm not sure what I expected when I purchased his book; but, this story went well beyond my wildest imaginings. I was pulled in from the first sentence and could not stop. I can't really say how I feel about the story as I experienced the full range of emotions and could very well spend the next few weeks processing my thoughts. All-in-all, riveting, captivating, and a mental-bender. I highly recommend.
