Love her characters
I gave this 4 stars because it is not stunningly great. Having said that, I really enjoyed the characterizations in this book. Few authors have Ms. Walters' talent in this regard. Well worth the investment of $ and time. Simon Prebble is the perfect narrator of this genre.

To slow and ending was predictable.
What did you like best about The Breaker? What did you like least?
The Author's writing I liked best, The long drawn out story was worst.

Shortened it.

Intelligent dialog and excellent narration.
I enjoyed the entire book. Simon Prebble is wonderful - my absolute favorite! The story was intriguing enough and not your predictable formula.
