There are four basic questions that confront each of us: Who am I?; where did I come from?; why am I here?; and where am I going when I die? Your eternal destiny will be determined by your “world view” in addressing these issues. And there are really only two world views: either everything - including you - is the result of some kind of cosmic accident, or this is all the result of a deliberate design by a designer. The book of Ezekiel contains some of the most incredible prophecies in the Bible, including detailed description of a nuclear war and the cleanup afterward. Ezekiel ministered to a nation experiencing judgment for its sins, and may have some lessons for us today. Ezekiel's name means "God strengthens, or God will strengthen". Ezekiel is one of the three that were called Captivity Prophets (the other two are Jeremiah and Daniel). Ezekiel never mentions Jeremiah in his writings, but he does mention Daniel three times.

Matthew presents Jesus Christ as the Jesus as the Meshiach Nagid, the Messiah the King, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. It was written by a Jew, to Jews, about a Jew. This book of the Bible uses more Old Testament quotes than any other. The Gospel of Matthew emphasizes the saying of Jesus, including 10 parables not found in any other Gospel. After first establishing the royal genealogy, he then goes on to focus on the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies.

He himself was a prisoner at the time yet it was he who was providing encouragement to them, the faithful at Philippi! "Finishing Well" is the name of the game. Here was a rich, young ruler - a first century "yuppie" if you will - who, although getting off to a rather problematic beginning, finished well, indeed. A rich young ruler questioned Christ about what he needed to do to inherit eternal life. Mark's Gospel includes a detail that Matthew and Luke failed to mention: "And Jesus looking upon him loved him..." This hints at the possibility that young John Mark himself may have been that rich young man.

I love the fact that throughout he says do your own study, dont just take my word for it. The beginning definitely sounds like a science textbook. That's good, if you like that stuff, but since I'm not a science major, I can neither confirm nor deny.

Good study from a scientific perspective.
Enjoyed the Book of Genesis from a viewpoint of science which doesn't refute it as a Book of Faith but rather strengthens it claim.
