Luis Moreno reads this like Fabio poses for covers

I search out audio books that Jennifer Ikeda narrates. Luis Moreno's narration is horrendous! He's all bluster and arrogance. The story and Jennifer Ikeda's performance are great.

Wonderful story

This was such a wonderful story. They has such a roller coasters of a journey that kept me so attached. The worst part for me was when it was over.

I really enjoyed this whole series, however, this book was a little slower and some parts dragged on a bit too long. I really thought the romance that began in the last book took so long to get established that the heat of it kind of fizzled by the time they could finally be together. All in all, though, it was still really good and kept me entertained the whole time. I did not like the 2 narrators for the last book, though. I felt like the parts from Hector's perspective were a little boring and his voice didn't really fit the part. It seemed unnecessary to add Hector's point of view for this book. I liked it better just from Elisa's point of view.

Great ending to a terrific story

This story was very well written. There was very little that was unpredictable. i often found myself talking to the main characters to try and nudge them to share their feelings or stop worrying. but i was not a big fan of the Male reader being introduced in the 3rd book. When he get a character in ur head, the voice, accents, the speed at which he thinks, it makes it harder to listen.

Love this series

The only thing I didn't enjoy, which may just be my personal preference is the male narrator for Hector. Honestly, I just dont care for his voice or the way he talks. it's not at all how I imagine Hector sounding. I think the female does a better job narrating his style.

Looked for this book for two years second hand. Almost bought it brand new but love this series listen to it all the time. Wish there was more. Would love to experience storms story after the battle is over

I loved this book!!

Book 1 was good, book 2 was great, book 3 was awesome!! A little bit of everything I this series. Religion, war, friendship, love, etc. Great story, well told. Rally enjoyed it.

Jennifer is 🔥 but the male narrator, not so much!

I loved Jennifer Ikeda as always but did not like the male narrator since his reading seemed very Steph and almost robotic.

Luis Moreno is a Bad Narrator

I loved this series, so much that I've listened to it several times now. I just wish that they had chosen a different narrator to play Hector. Luis Moreno is bad - it's slow, unemotional, and it feels like he's just reading. And it got under my skin that he had mispronounced Selvarika. Surely he could have listened to Jennifer's pronunciation and copied that, instead of saying "sel-va-rika."

All that aside, I still loved the series and this book.

The narrator is so important!

Jennifer is so expressive... so connected... so in the moment! Her interpretation of the story is sensitive & engaging. Unfortunately this male counterpart.... not so much . His interpretation of Hector lacked true emotion or understanding of the character. He kind of ruined the book for me... but I continued because of the great story line! I loved this book otherwise & would recommend it to every reader!
