Hale- Reaping what he has sown, Hale has been stripped of over half of his army and with no strong witch by his side, Hale must still face the war that he started with the other factions. Klare- has now been effectively stripped of her humanity. She struggles to adjust to the what immortality brings and is not sure that she even wants to. Worrying for her love, she has asked her cousin to pull upon strange magic to help her regain what she has lost. Will she ever be a witch again? Or when she taste what immortality has to offer, will she give in to her new life with Hale by her side?

Ash- Is determined to see the vampires pay for all they have done to human, other factions, but especially his mate and the mother of his heir. He jumps into this war, determined for revenge, but at what cost? Will he give his life to avenge the wrongs that have been done to him, or will he live and have his life changed, forever?

Lenny- is in an impossible situation. Receiving news about her new mate, she has important choices to make. Will she choose her new status as the second Fox queen over her family, including the love of her life, Franklin? Or will she take matters into her own hands and do what even a sly fox would never expect?
