The monetary transition engulfing us will create enormous changes, but we have many reasons for optimism. New technological developments and trends are taking us to a much better world.

Good intro

The overall story is important and well written, it’s a good alternative to Broken Money and The Bitcoin Standard. This story needs repeating.
For a book aimed at beginners, it still contained too many technical parts (boring numbers and details about US politician behavior).
The audio wasn’t perfect, the narrator struggled at the beginning and overplayed the quotations (as if mocking them), and many repetitions were left unedited.

Gripping true tale of the theft from us all

Well read by a voice for radio! The tale is 1) true and 2) you have been programmed to accept it as no big deal. But the reality is you’re a part slave your entire life to the predator class that continually steals through inflation…and you might even be proud that you have the intellect to see why such theft is necessary or good for the economy. Heaven help you. For the rest of us, bitcoin is your way to get out of the rat race…not that the life raft provides a comfy ride, but it beats swimming and sinking!

The Fed, Fiat and the mess they have created

Illuminating discussion of how the financial system - central banks and fiat currency - have favoured the elites at the cost of the bulk of the population … and how to fix it!

Well written, awful narration

The narrator sounded like an AI bot. Either the microphone he recorded on was terrible quality or it was a bot. Either way it’s unacceptable for Amazon to sell audiobooks and the quality of the audio to be this poor.

Larry wrote the book I wanted to

Towards the end of the book Larry explains that the purpose of it was to summarize and make understandable a litany of other authors and Podcaster work. Larry, you nailed it. I am familiar with 98% of the names you list and though I find them incredible, the general population would not necessarily agree. This book however is very digestible without the need for indoctrination in the dismal sciences. The one criticism I have is throughout the entire book the modulation of the audio is very off. I was able to overlook it even though it is somewhat intense. It seems something that an auto tune should easily be able to digitally remaster. Thank you for this great book.

Good book. Narrator is Terrible

Enjoyed the book, as it is a little easier to consume for people over Broken Money or The Bitcoin Standard. It's a book I plan on buying family members to get them started on their Bitcoin journey.

Walker America's narration was god awful. He does a Bitcoin podcast as well, and his intros always have this same fake horrible voice. I had to 1.5x the audio just to make it sound like it was talking somewhat like a normal person. Then I was surprised by how he was quoting people with this comedic voices. Makes the book sound like a joke.

Do yourself a favor and buy it in paperback unless you hate reading. Just speed up the narration to make it bearable.

An Excellent analysis on how to properly handle investments and the possible risks and upside potential.

Highly recommend

Very understandable story and excellent historical summary. The author presents fairly his investment case for Bitcoin. This book is highly readable and a great introduction to understanding Bitcoin.

Must read book, explains the mess we are in, and the way out of it
