Great list of things to consider
This is more of a top-ten list of things to think about if becoming a counselor and could have been delivered in five minutes or less as there was no backup explaining the "how" or "why" behind the list of recommendations. But they are decent points so they are appreciated. Be advised the last two minutes are a list of other self-published books by the author.

Review
I think this would be a good book for a foundations of school counseling graduate course. This can start many discussions around what is expected of a school counselor, the caseload numbers, certain jobs and duties, etc. When I first read the description, I thought this was more of a refresher for newer school counselors. I was expecting this to be more of an overview of what a school counselor should be after your first few years in the profession. I felt like this was too short, and it wasn't fulfilling for me. Again, I think this would be great for a graduate course where it can really be broken down and discussed accordingly.
