I bought the book when he first dropped it. Never took the time to finish it. So now years later I'm picking it up, I listened through my workouts and walks. Gave me key points to work towards, and helpful resources to use.

Great book for business focused producers

This book offers a clear framework to perceive, and deal with the business reality of being a independent producer outside of the system. JT's business model focuses mainly on leveraging music libraries/marketplaces to sell/license his compositions - with a focus on automation and scalability.

The book covers a pretty extensive yet focused amount of information within the ~3hrs. Everything from mindset and personal management, to covering what you'll need for software/workflow while explicitly naming names. The book even offers clear operational standards for creating the compositions, and offers clear business minded reasons WHY.

Another great aspect of this book is the ENERGY. JT provides a great attitude and perspective within this book that we can all benefit from.

This book is a great little 3hr listen if you're dedicated to taking your music production skills and independently producing a stable profit and building a business. Even if your business model differs slightly.

Great intro for world of music libraries

I would have appreciated more detail about his workflow and the way one gets paid in this industry (and less personal philosophy/general productivity) but it did inspire me to consider this revenue stream as a way to do music full time.
