nice light summer read

A little corny and pretty predictable, but a nice pleasant read for summer. Loved the characters. Good narration. I like this author.

Conrad Was A Piece of Work--3 Wives!

Well, reading this book made me think of growing up in Oklahoma and all the hot steamy summers, It is a nice romance story with three women thrown together at the funeral of their husband. Neither of them knew of the others but Kate was less emotionally involved because she had told Conrad 'no divorce and no money' and had pretty much moved on after the first year. The story takes place in a small town in Texas. The story was sweet but too sweet for my taste. I listened to it on audible and enjoyed the accents provided by the narrator, Donna Postal, but the story was too sweet. If you like sweet romantic stories with no sex and lots of old fashioned charm, you'll love this story. I'm more into murder and mayhem. It was a nice break and would be a nice beach read.

The Barefoot Summer is one of more than a dozen Caroline Brown books I purchased in the Christmas sale
This is one of the best it was interesting and kept me reading did not want it to finish. Good story if a little unrealistic.

Another feel good story

I discovered Carolyn Brown about a year ago. Thanks to kindle unlimited I've been able to listen to quite a few of her stories. They are all good. Doesn't matter which one you pick I guarantee you will like it. I think my favorite part of all her books are the sassy elders. The elders in her stories make me want to have some in my life! This book or another of her titles will have you picking up another. They are just what you didn't know you were looking for. Choose one and enjoy it, you won't regret the time spent reading/listening.

Great Twist

I think this might be one of my favorites by Carolyn out of the 4 books I've read by her.

Lies, deception, new beginning

Kate Steele a wealthy business woman never dreamed that at her late husbands funeral she would be confronted by one woman with a child and one woman with child all claiming to be married to her husband, plus the fact that all three of them are under investigation for his death. To make matters worse they all show up at a cabin they all think they own. It’s a summer of coming to terms with lose, trying to find forgiveness, proving innocence, bonds of three women from different walks in life and finding new beginnings.

Loved this one just as I love them all. Such a sweet story with a good narrator.

Love this author and the narrator. Her books are funny and heartwarming. I would recommend this to everyone.

Romance

This story starts out with a crazy situation of more than one woman married to the same man and none of them know about the others. They all find out this fact at the funeral of their lying husband. It is a fun story you should read.
