Even more action than book one!

Holy cow! This book never lets up. It’s one crisis after another. I actually had to take a break for a day because it was so exhausting. But in a good way!

So many amazing scenes, so many things happening. The events in the Djinn world were spectacular, literally. Magical creatures, magical events, magical buildings, magical ships. Truly fantastical! I’m so impressed with the world building in this series!

I did get a little lost in trying to figure out who was mad at whom and who was double-crossing whom, and I’m still not 100% sure what the “bindings” were, exactly. But that’s probably just my failings. I have a bit of brain fog from chronic illnesses. Suffice it to say there is a LOT happening in this book!

And the ending!! 😱 Can’t believe I have to wait so long for book 3.

If you’re looking for an amazing story with incredible world building and nonstop action, this book (and series) is for you!

I love this book 📖

I honestly don't know what to say. I'm lost for words. I deeply enjoyed a book that keep me entertained and engaged from cover to cover but that ending 😳 😅 👌🏾. I guess I'm going to just have to have to wait till book three 😄 😭😭😭😭. No but for real, the author for this series take us on journey and show us how in story telling so myths have pices of truth in story. I love that aspect in the first book and second book we got to see it expanded on. The flow and ebb of this book is just perfect that when reach our ending I'm heartbroken that the author set up just like last time👌🏾😭🤣😭🤣😭🤣

A tale of adventure, magic and fun!

This was SO good, and SO fun!!! I enjoyed this one SO much, even though it's been years since I read the first novel. I really enjoy the characters, and their development and growth was done in such a fun way. Every time our three main narrators switched POVs, I was bummed because it cut off right at the good part every time!! This one was fast paced and full of magic and mayhem. I think this trilogy is gonna have a special place on my shelf.

I can't wait for the conclusion!

A Very Good Sophomore Effort

I really enjoyed this second installment, even though it was stodgy in places, it was fantastic nonetheless. Long live Aisha!

Can’t wait for book 3. This was a great expansion on the world building, the lore and the characters. I listened to this in a week. Loved it. Already miss spending time in the jinn world

Non Stop Action

I counted down the days for this book and it did not disappoint! I'd rate it 10 stars if that was an option

Audible helped me get through this!

I won a digital copy with Goodreads and started reading this back in January and only finished this after its release date and the audiobook. I loved the first book but struggled through this one, even though the author included a recap of the first book at the very beginning (Yay Author!!!!).

Our three main characters are separated from each other throughout the book in different realms because of the ifrits. It didn’t pick up for me until more than halfway through and the cliffhanger is interesting. I liked the book but I definitely need to read the first book again to fully enjoy this one, not to mention when the third comes out.
