Excellent and Entertaining

This audiobook did not disappoint. Paul Newman does a splendid job of narrating this classic, delightful tale!

Totally better to have Paul Newman read this instead of me stumbling over the vernacular writing.

In our politically correct culture, books that try to capture the times past are being dismissed. I’m glad that this classic allows us to see our humanity no matter what color our skin, and friendship spanning age.

Tom Sawyer is the best!!!

I liked Tom Sawyer because it is it’s very cool and in Huckleberry Finn is my favorite too. This book is it good for over the age of six.

Let Down

I expected a lot more given it's previous raves and reviews. I was let down and maybe that had to do with who I chose as the narrator,

Newman does great job, but this is abridged versio

Newman’s reading is rich and melodic, bringing this tale to life. However, I wish I had known that this is an abridged version. Probably great for young readers, as it skips some tangential segments, but ad an adult reader I missed the detail. I had to download a different version.
