The kind of Romance everyone needs in their collection!

This is the classic, sm*ty, feel-good, romance everyone needs in their collection. The performers brought the characters to life. They made you feel like you were a part of their story. There was just enough sm*t to keep it interesting without overtaking the story. This is the perfect book to kick off a summer reading list.

Cute little story

Eight years ago, Monroe and Juliet had a secret summer fling. At the end of the summer, they went their separate ways - he went off to medical school, got married, divorced. She got a degree in marketing and runs a party planning business for divorce/break-up parties. And now they are co-hosts of a popular dating advice podcast. When they are gifted a house in the same town where they met by a grateful wealthy listener whom they helped find true love, they decide to go check it out. It's a beautiful, charming cottage with one bed and mirrored ceilings... And yes, one bed. It's also fortunate that Monroe has to go back anyway for his estranged father's retirement party.
Juliet has never lost hope of finding "the one". Her dating adventures are the fodder for their podcast. Now the time that she has to spend together with Monroe at their new house becomes part of an experiment: he will role-play as the men she finds attractive in the dating app, they'll go on dates with him pretending to be these men and he'll coach her on what she's doing wrong.... But Monroe has ulterior motives. 
I picked this one when I saw the narrators: Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan! What a pair! If you are and Audible Plus member, it's also free to download. Andi is lovely as the hopeful yet a little disenchanted Juliet and Jacob has the charm cranked up to 11 as the "it's always been you" hero who thinks that his girl could do better than him. The chemistry is amazing and the story is pretty much low angst. It's also a relatively short audiobook, so it's a perfect companion for a lazy afternoon. 

I had to stop listening

The story line was good and the narrators were great, however, the sex scenes were so unnecessarily vulgar that I had to stop listening. Don't get me wrong, I'm down for a good love scene, but this was ridiculous. It's too bad because though I'm pretty sure how it's going to end, I'd still like to hear it.

Such a cute story!

The story was fun, flirty, and funny. There is some spice and a lot of chemistry!
I love the narrators too! They have to be one of my favorite duos. If you’re looking for an easy listen, with a good plot, you should definitely listen!

Fun & relatable!

Very cute & sexy! Good character development ands spicy scenes. Creative plot. The made up towns were charming.

Cute and fun

It was a cute story, and only close to the ending, I realized it's actually a fourth book in a series, so it's a completely stand-alone. I thought the love story was silly and fun, and I enjoyed listening to the characters' interactions. I will definitely read more by Lauren Blakely, and this series specifically.

Cute

Great voice actors. Plot was a little too transparent. The breakup between Monroe and Juliet was a paragraph and abrupt, felt forced...like it was thrown there for the necessary turning point in the story. The stakes just weren't high enough, and the storyline fell a little flat...which made the overabundance of smut the only real spice in the story. It was "ok". Loved the reparation of the father-son relationship between Monroe and his father...it was a tear jerker.

not bad

Not bad..an interesting little story of coming full circle. The characters were likable and fun.

Sweet like sugar kisses.

When we know narrators Zachary Webber / Jacob Morgan and Andi Ardnt . You have to give it a try and was not dissatisfied. Adorable story so sweet. We all want a slight sugar fox and this was it. I love to read but love audiobooks brings the story to life. Well done.

Fun and easy listen

I absolutely hate those dumb romances where the girl sabotages her relationship with self-loathing or mistrust or WHATEVER and continues through the story making and then recovering from her own terrible choices. This is, happily, NOT that book. Instead, it’s two people who know each other pretty well overcoming their own manageable obstacles to find happiness. Good bit of pleasing steam. Great to listen to on my day off while I’m doing laundry! Def recommend.
