One of Lindsay Buroker’s Best
I had not heard of Lindsay before I joined audible, but I’ve been hooked from the first read. The Legacy of Magic Series has been a terrific read and as usual each book gets better so that I can hardly wait for the next. I like how the questions from previous book is answered in the next. I enjoyed Tested very much and I am looking forward to enjoying the next.

A lot of fighting.
I liked the story overall, but there is just a bit too much fighting. However, I liked the inclusion of Maddie's family and the hero worship from the kids towards their aunt.

Good sequel series
There are some books, even though the story is good, I’m glad to see them come to an end. That’s not the case with Ms. Buroker’s stories. At the end of this one, my feeling is no, no I need more. I enjoyed the original series, Death before Dragons, so much that I didn’t think this series would do it justice, but that’s not the case. Maddie, with her hammer, is an awesome contemporary and friend to Val. Also, I cannot say enough regarding Ms. Leheny‘s performances. I’m a fan! I have purchased audiobooks just from the basis that she is the performer.
