What a fun story! I had to laugh at the lies she told Jackson. The narrator did a great job!

I think we’ve all embellished things about ourselves. I don’t blame Katy for what she told the handsome doctor. Not expecting to see him again since it was just a vacation fling, I probably would’ve done the same thing.

Cute story about someone who didn’t think they were good enough and a man who was willing to accept her just as she was.

Darned Onion Ninjas!

So, of the three books in this series so far, this one has been my favorite. It's so real and heartfelt, and I can relate. This book will make you laugh one minute, squirm the next minute, and a sobbing mess the next, if you're anything like me. Super relatable characters and excellent heat. I would recommend to people who love a great story with backstory and heart. You could read this story as a standalone, or as part of the greater series. It's one of those book series that follows a new main character for each book.

I can’t remember the last time I have laughed so hard or related to characters so much! Ever feel like anything that can go wrong, will? If yes, these books are for you! I loved every single second. So many moments where I couldn’t decide between laughing or being embarrassed for them! Definitely must listens and so far my top pick for 2020!

So much fun and so much feels

5 perfect stars! I loved this book even more than the first. When Katie wins an exotic vacation she meets a yummy doctor on the plane and decides to embellish her life with 10 little lies figuring she will never see him again. To her surprise a while later he stumbles into her little town for a temporary assignment and hilarity ensues when she tries to keep up
With her lies. It’s laugh out loud funny but also packs the romance and the feels. It was the perfect combination. The narrator also did an excellent job with the different voices and british accent. I’d love this whole series to be turned into movies.

Romance novels are somewhat predictable, but the characters are sweet.

LOL Love Story

Book 3 in the Power of Ten series is just as funny and heartwarming as the first two. Emily James has such a great way of hitting you with laugh out loud lines throughout the book as well as pulling at your heartstrings. In this story, Katie Perkins, who won a trip to Antigua in Book 2, comes back to her simple life after having a glorious holiday with a man she met on the plane. During their time together, she fibbed a bit, 10 times to be exact, thinking she would never see this man again and her island fling was just that, a fling. When the man she met, Jackson Quinn, shows up in town as the fill-in doctor, her life becomes one of trying to live up to the lies she told just to save face. The end result is a fun and enjoyable journey of falling in love.

Kim Bretton, who has narrated the other two books in the series, is fantastic in her role in this one. I can't imagine a better voice to carry these stories. She does such a good job with the character and bringing life to them throughout.

While the story can be listened to individually, I highly recommend listening to all of the stories in this series in order. You will not be disappointed in any of them.

Ten lies abroad

It's easy to understand how a few little white lies can blow up in your face, especially if you never intend to see the recipient of those tall tales again. We all need a friend like Melinda who has Katie's back no matter what but maybe not the hilarity she instigates by adding to the lies.

The sushi incident had me laughing out loud. I'm a a hard critic when it comes to humor but will always comment when a book gets a laugh out of me as this one did.

The narrator and author were great.

10 little fibs won't hurt anyone!

This is the third book of this wonderful series, The Power of Ten. We already know the shenannigans that Joanie and Melinda got up to but ow it is the turn of Katie "the widow."
Katie wins a trip to Anitgua all expenses paid and while there she reinvented herself with the help of 10 lies and had a fling with a handsome doctor, Jackson. As fate will have it, they see each other again, and the craziness ensues. The story is very funy but also has a heart and a sad side due to the nature of being a widow and raising a child on her own when she is so young.
I love the part that the town played in this story but I would have love more Mickey in it, he just takes the stories from funny to ultra hilarious and I missed him in this one. Overall, it is a super cute story!
